I kind of imagine this takes place weeks after Tartarus and the war and these two just like to leave everyone else and take a few minutes to themselves each day. I also kind of think that in Tartarus they might have developed this way of resting - they can physically lean on each other and keep each other close, but they can guard each others’ backs, too. I’ll aim to get the short story of this scene posted tomorrow after I get back from the stables. That might explain some more of my inner thoughts on this.
